Yves Rocher Botanical Beauty Care

Do you want the best anti-aging skin creams? I’m sure that you do. Who would want to settle for the average anti-aging skin cream, when they could have something better? I doubt that anyone would, but most people do, because they don’t know what’s what. Here’s how to spot the pretenders.

If the advertising claims suggest that the product will provide instant results, then it is not one of the best anti-aging skin creams. It’s a cosmetic “trick”.

For years, cosmetic companies used special pigments that prevent reflection and make the face look smoother than it actually is. Now, they have added an ingredient called argireline to these pigments. Typically advertised as safe “Botox” alternatives, a cream containing argireline is not actually an anti-aging skin cream.

One of the theories about wrinkle formation is that they are caused by habitual facial expressions. It is now believed that while they may play a very small role, facial expressions are not an underlying cause of wrinkles, but Botox injections, which paralyze the facial muscles, and argireline, which has similar effects, are still popular.

A real anti-aging skin cream might provide some instant results, because it is possible to prevent those reflections, without using pigments, but it will also support the natural cell renewal process, fight free radical damage, increase the production of collagen and elastin, while protecting levels of amino acids that are responsible for the skin’s firmness.

In other words, the best anti-aging skin creams address the issues that actually cause wrinkles and sagging. Skin-cell production slows down with age. More free radicals are present in older cells. Decreasing levels of hyaluronic acid (an amino) are seen in older faces. But, these are not things that we must just learn to accept. We can counter ALL of these issues. We just have to find the right anti-aging skin cream.

The ingredients to look for include CYNERGY-TK, HEQ10 and wakame kelp. The effectiveness of these three ingredients is supported by clinical studies and good science. The research and development team that created them are responsible for some of the biggest break-throughs in cell rejuvenation technology. Let’s look at each ingredient in a little more detail.

CYNERGY TK

This is a naturally occurring amino acid protein peptide complex that contains small amounts of zinc and copper. These complexes have been shown to increase the production of new cells. When tested during clinical trials, the best anti-aging skin creams containing CYNERGY TK were shown to increase skin-cell proliferation by as much as 160%.

HEQ10

This is a special formulation of coenzyme Q10 and natural vitamin E that was created through a process known as nano-technology, which allows the antioxidants to penetrate deeply, preventing and countering free radical damage. It should be an ingredient in every anti-aging skin cream.

Wakame Kelp Extract

This extract prevents hyaluronic acid from breaking down, which improves firmness and elasticity. Only the very best anti-aging skin creams contain all three. Look for them and you’ll be glad you did.

Any moisturizer that contains sunscreen is great in preventing wrinkles.

I have so many products in my bathroom (I like to try it all…lol). I currently wash my face with Olay Regenerist and then use the Thermal Skin Polisher (which heats up with water, it's like a mini chemical peel). I moisturize with Loreal Wrinkle Decrease. My foundation has a spf. My routine changes constantly.

I also love Clinique's Dramatically Different moisturizer and Dermalogica's Active Moist.

The key is to eat right, drinks lots of water, and moisturize :)

  • Estee Lauder is good. If you like it then there's no reason to change. However, anti-aging is a multi-faceted thing. It starts with good health by not smoking, very little alcohol if any, exercise, eating good food, etc. I have found that if you abuse your body within, that no anti aging formula is going to make up for it on the outside.
So, with that said, fighting free-radical damage in the skin with Vitamins A,E, and C are good starters. Vitamin A in the form of Retinoic Acid, Vitamin C serums, and creams laced with Vitamin E have confirmed that they do help slow down the aging of the skin.
If you are using any high end skin product with vitamins in it, good moisture binding ingredients, and are doing routine exfoliating, you should be getting more than adequate pampering for your skin.

or when you start seeing the first signs of wrinkles i guess.

you are 21. you should not worry about that. just continue taking care of your skin by cleaning it, avoiding foundation that clogs your pores, and using your sunscreen. enjoy your youthful skin good luck! :-)

  • It's never too early. The most important thing is sunscreen!
Sun damage starts when you are exposed to the sun which is usually when you are a baby unless you've never been outside since.
Don't listen to the comments that wrinkles start when your 30+, because once they start it's too late and it means you haven't been taking care of yourself! You'll thank me when you're 35 and wrinkle free!

    1. Loss of strength, especially in limbs.
    2. Hearing will begin to fade.
    3. Your on more than 4 prescriptions at one time.
    4. You realize that its ridiculous to drive past 55 mph.
    5. Joins creak and ache.
    6. A smiling child whose name escapes you, calls you "grandpa"
    7. You wake up early in the morning to find the clocks broken and stuck at 1:00

If you want to combat anti-aging, do nothing, and get off the prescriptions.

i haven't used them but my mom, who is 49, uses Artistry Time Defiance products. they are a little more expensive then the drug store brands but they're definitely worth their value! And Artistry also has a 100% guarantee of satisfaction. : )

  • It's so nice of you to want to buy your Mom a good anti-aging/anti wrinkle cream.

I think buying a cream or surface treatment is so much better than getting surgery or using Botox.

When I select my anti-aging products, I tend to look for a few things:

    1) are there proven results?
    2) can I get a trial or sample (so I know it will work before I spend a lot of money)
    3) are the results as good as Botox or even better? (I want to get really great results without the pain or hassle)
    4) decide what you want to focus on treating (age spots, wrinkles, sagginess- or all of the above)
    5) decide how often you want to apply the treatment and how long it should take (I don't like to sit around for hours- I want something I can use quickly and then get on with the rest of my day)
