What is Glutathione

An anti aging anti wrinkle cream is something that probably every one of us wants, whether or not that’s our first thought when we look for skincare.

Preventing wrinkles is a dream for all of us who’d like to keep our skin looking young, soft and healthy, isn’t it?

Books can be (and have been) written on skin care, but it doesn’t take that many words to give you the essentials. Any anti aging anti wrinkle cream will always have to deal with the most important causes of aging, wrinkled skin.

Surprise: the main cause of wrinkles is NOT aging.

The main cause is lack of nutrition. This means nutrition inside and out — and poor skin nutrition is very often associated with aging. But wrinkles are not inevitable and not necessary, just because time is passing.

Nutritious food and food supplements are both needed for excellent skin care. You can make your own healthy food choices, and my website will aim you at some of the best supplements available.

But for now: for preventing wrinkles, an anti aging anti wrinkle cream must tackle these three main causes of skin aging and wrinkles:

– Loss of natural collagen and elastin, the primary ingredients in healthy skin;

– reduced levels of hyaluronic acid, also called hyaluronan, which is vital to cell growth in the skin;

– and oxidation from excessive free radicals in your skin.

All of these, at bottom, are nutrition problems.

For preventing wrinkles, you need products that nourish your skin with essential nutrients day and night. You need more than an anti aging anti wrinkle cream that lasts a few hours in the evening. You need your skin to be continuously nourished 24 hours a day.

The best skin care uses several different products for different functions. But here are some of the most effective ingredients for preventing wrinkles:

– Coenzyme Q10, a superb antioxident

– Natural Vitamin E, a wonderful antioxidant that complements Coenzyme Q10

– Fine vegetable-based oils like grapeseed oil and babassu, both natural emollients that soften the skin

There are also some ultra-modern ingredients that tackle the causes of aging skin and wrinkles:

– For stimulating collagen and elastin regrowth, CynergyTK, proven in clinical trials to stimulate the regrowth of collagen, elastin and new skin cells.

– For increasing hyaluronic acid, the Japanese have been using a variety of sea kelp called wakame for centuries — long before hyaluronic acid was even discovered. (You don’t have to know the science to get the benefits.) An extract called Phytessence Wakame inhibits hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid in your skin. Your levels of hyaluronic acid gradually increase to the amounts normally found in a much younger people.

– For destroying free radicals, Nano-Lipobelle HEQ10 is CoEnzyme Q10 in “nano-emulsion” form, for better penetration into the skin. It is extremely effective at destroying free radicals in your skin for a powerful anti aging, anti-wrinkle effect.

The best anti aging, anti wrinkle cream will have many of these ingredients for preventing wrinkles.

Help answer the question about anti aging

Is it a good idea to start anti aging creams when you're young?
I'm 20 years old and my suitemate uses this anti aging cream on a nightly basis. She told me it's better to start early and take preventative measures than start when it's already too late. My fear is that if I use them this young, they will be less effective when I'm older. I'm not sure what the better choice is. How can I work at keeping my skin healthy besides using sunscreen whenever I go outside?

L-glutathione is "the reduced form of glutathione". The reduced form of glutathione or L-glutathione is the kind of glutathione that has the side effect of skin whitening. The effects can be permanent, however you have to maintain your skin in good condition of-course. that would mean you have to stay clear from prolonged exposure to uv rays or sunlight, you have to drinks lots of water, and eat fruits and vegetables. If your considering whitening your skin however i suggest you first try Swiss l-glutathione bar. It's a really good whitening soap that brings the effects of glutathione directly to your skin. visit their site here:

If you are taking MaxGXL you need to contact me right away. There is only one product that has the science behind it and the cost refunded by medical insurance in the US. daddysquirrel you just sound bitter with mlm and were probably useless at it and now want to bad mouth mlm.

  • Correction: of course I meant “UNdenatured whey protein. And have you ever heard of Protandim? Outrageously priced, and simply a mixture of ingredients that one can buy at a fraction of the cost elsewhere. There IS a novel approach to glutathione delivery. It’s called “liposomal glutathione.” It looks “real”, and it doesn’t have the MLM hype (miracles, like the ones in those christian revival tent meetings). MLM is NOT a legitimate business model. Too many people get ripped off.

  • all u need to do is take n acetyl cysteine. and u can get glutathione from vitacost

  • There is no EXACT synergistic combination of ingredients. Lipoic acid, selenium and cysteine are all known to boost glutathione. There are other compounds as well. BUT these compounds will cost you DOUBLE or TRIPLE if purchased from a network marketing company. I know. I’ve been involved with Mark Yarnell and many other MLM gurus, who then jump to another “sizzle” opportunity to build another downline. I wonder if these guys continue to take these MIRACULOUS products from their FORMER companies?

The best way to increase your glutathione levels in your body is to eat more foods that help your body make it own. seafood, eggs, organ meats, plants foods grown in selenium rich soils. I've heard that taking the gsh supplement can't be absorbed and the whey protein with Acetyl-cysteine is only one of the three amino acids in gsh. I suggest checking out http://www.reverseold.com

I’ve been taking Levodyn for about a year. I’ve noticed that my blood pressure has gone down and stabilized, and I no longer have to take chemicals which had negative side effects. Levodyn just makes me feel better. I have recommended this product to people and my brother is now taking it with similar positive results.

  • Glutathione has multiple functions:

    1. It is the major endogenous antioxidant produced by the cells, participating directly in the neutralization of free radicals and reactive oxygen compounds, as well as maintaining exogenous antioxidants such as vitamins C and E in their reduced (active) forms.
    2. Through direct conjugation, it detoxifies many xenobiotics (foreign compounds) and carcinogens, both organic and inorganic.
    3. It is essential for the immune system to exert its full potential, e.g. (1) modulating antigen presentation to lymphocytes, thereby influencing cytokine production and type of response (cellular or humoral) that develops, (2) enhancing proliferation of lymphocytes thereby increasing magnitude of response, (3) enhancing killing activity of cytotoxic T cells and NK cells, and (4) regulating apoptosis, thereby maintaining control of the immune response.
    4. It plays a fundamental role in numerous metabolic and biochemical reactions such as DNA synthesis and repair, protein synthesis, prostaglandin synthesis, amino acid transport and enzyme activation. Thus, every system in the body can be affected by the state of the glutathione system, especially the immune system, the nervous system, the gastrointestinal system and the lungs.

In short, when you don't have enough, your body defense and immune system are compromised.

Glutathione is a tripeptide produced by the liver. Glutathione pleolyposome is man-made. This is hype to get you to purchase it. Don't buy into it because you're looking for a quick fix. I also have an autistic son but I don't look to a charlatan's snake oil for a cure. None of these websites is medically based and the so-called evidence they give for the causes of autism are specious at best and laughable even for someone without an advanced degree in biochemistry.

there are alot of glutathione brands in the market today but beware that not all are genuine. There is a black market in these products which only offers low cost but fake and not safe brands. Always make sure you are buying from a legitimate source or seller. Always ask for proofs like testimonials from users and certificate of authenticity to prove that the product is real. Not all brands are also effective so better research. To know more about Glutathione and skin whitening pills, you may want to check out: http://www.superwhiteningpills.net

Just make sure the brand you're taking isn't fake. Glutathione is an anti-oxidant so there isn't much to worry about. Try a small amount first before making it your general dietary supplement.

I am not sure what ph338 glutathione is, but if it is oral glutathione, studies show that it will be destroyed in your gut and will not raise your glutathione levels.

If you would like to raise glutathione, you need to take the building blocks for it. The best studied building blocks are with forms of cysteine.

Dr. Jimmy Gutman is the world's most published author on the topic of glutathione, and in his bestseller referenced below, he states that "Low levels of GSH (glutathione) have been documented in many types of skin disease, including seborrheic dermatitis." ( Taken from chart that names 14 skin diseases, Table 26, page 191)

So raising your glutathione may indeed help with your condition.

You can learn all about glutathione, and the ways of raising glutathione at the resources below.
